Bahía de Cádiz
The gantry for raising the sections for the new bridge of the Bahía de Cádiz is, perhaps, the most complex auxiliary resource in which we have participated. With the capacity to raise parts measuring 33*20 m2 with a total weight of 350 tonnes, it also had the peculiarity that bridge support points, during some raising operations and during its displacement, were not in the same location.
Moreover, the weight of the assembly could not exceed 350 tonnes and all of the mechanisms had to be redundant.
To achieve the final structure there were many hours of work, in conjunction with ALE’s Engineering Department and with Dragados’ Technical Services. Once again, it was Pondio who did the design.
